We are seeking a detail-oriented JIB Accountant to coordinate accounting transactions with our joint-venture partners. You will ensure that drilling and completion expenditures are allocated accurately according to leasehold working interests, audit third-party operator statements, and coordinate payments to land and mineral owners.

Core Responsibilities

  • Reconcile monthly joint-venture expenditures and issue JIB statements to non-operating equity owners.
  • Analyze and process drilling, completion, and operating invoices to ensure proper general ledger coding.
  • Perform audits of third-party operator billings to ensure strict compliance with standard COPAS accounting guidelines.
  • Collaborate with landmen and division order analysts to resolve mineral leaseholder payout inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent finance field.
  • 3+ years of dedicated Joint Interest Billing experience in the upstream petroleum sector.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard petroleum accounting suites (e.g., Enertia, OGAS, or Bolo).
  • Thorough understanding of Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS) rules.
