We are seeking an automation expert to scale our digital operations infrastructure. You will oversee the SCADA and PLC systems that control supercritical CO2 compression hubs, pipeline valves, and seismic arrays. This role is crucial to maintaining our 24/7 continuous leak detection and real-time remote-shutoff safety protocols.

Core Responsibilities

  • Program and commission Allen-Bradley, Modbus, or Siemens PLCs at compression stations and wellheads.
  • Configure and expand Ignition-based SCADA human-machine interfaces (HMI) for centralized operators.
  • Integrate fiber-optic distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) networks to monitor pipeline corridor structural integrity.
  • Ensure telemetry databases maintain high availability and encrypt critical operational data streams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of SCADA/Automation engineering in the oil, gas, or heavy chemical pipeline industry.
  • Proficient in industrial communication protocols (MQTT Sparkplug, Modbus, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP).
  • Prior experience implementing remote automated shutdown systems under PHMSA or EPA guidelines.
