Senior Drilling & Completions Engineer

This hybrid role manages the safe, efficient execution of our horizontal drilling programs in the Delaware Basin, while also spearheading the mechanical design of Class VI carbon injection wells. You will optimize casing configurations, fluid systems, and supervise on-site completions to maximize reservoir contact and safeguard freshwater aquifers.
Core Responsibilities
- Draft comprehensive well designs, detailing casing points, cement specifications, and directional plans.
- Supervise on-site rig crews during high-pressure horizontal drilling and multi-stage completion runs.
- Optimize hydraulic fracture and perforation placements using advanced geomechanical data.
- Design corrosion-resistant downhole well components (such as chrome tubing and specialized packers) to resist carbonic acid.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 7+ years of hands-on rig-floor drilling and completions engineering experience.
- Active Well Control certification (IADC or IWCF supervisor level).
- Demonstrated experience designing high-integrity cementing jobs across multiple permeable zones.
