HSE & Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Reporting to the Director of HSE, this field-facing role owns the day-to-day safety and environmental compliance program for our Midland-area operations. You will spend roughly half your time at well sites and facilities conducting audits and training, and the other half managing regulatory submittals, emissions monitoring data, and incident investigations. This role is central to protecting our 524-day process safety streak.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and unannounced HSE audits, job safety analyses, and permit-to-work reviews at drilling and production sites.
• Prepare and file TRRC and EPA regulatory reports, including H-10 filings and air permit compliance documentation.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations using root cause methodologies, and track corrective actions to closure.
• Coordinate the LDAR (leak detection and repair) program and optical gas imaging surveys with operations teams.
• Deliver contractor safety orientations and maintain site-specific emergency response plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of field HSE experience in upstream oil and gas operations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, TRRC rules, and EPA methane regulations (Subpart OOOOb).
• Ability to travel to field locations up to 50% of the time, including occasional call-outs.
• CSP or ASP certification is preferred.
